M.A. Piotr Wolanin is an alumnus of Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, where he accomplished studies in Archaeology on the Faculty of History, defending in 2000 his master thesis: "The role of wild vegetation in early Medieval economy". Since October 2000 he is an employee in Archaeological Conservation Laboratory of M.A. Alina Jaszewska.
Also in 2000 he joined the Scientific Association of Polish Archaeologists (Voivodeship of Lubusz).
Piotr Wolanin was involved in numerous archaeological monitoring and emergency researches conducted both in cities and small towns of Voivodeship of Lubusz.
He is a co-author of archaeological exhibitions such as: "Sulechów Bypass Road" (2005); "Motorway A-18 - archaeological researches" (2007); "Archaeology of small investments: (2008).
Coordinator of emergency excavations within huge investments e.g.: Bypass roads of Sulechów and Kargowa cities; A-18 motorway (southern lane); Express road S-3, section Międzyrzecz-Sulechów, Express road S-7 in Cracow.
